Interfaith Builders
Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit organization dedicated to building and improving places to call home. Each summer, Holy Spirit joins local faith communities in building and repairing homes for families and individuals in need.
August Recap
Holy Spirit volunteers put in 17 day-shifts of construction work in support of Habitat for Humanity the week of Aug. 4–8. We did interior framing (building wall frames, preparing window openings, installing bracing and blocking) and exterior work (building a porch, installing house wrap, and installing the windows) on a house in South St. Paul. This will be a nice home for a family needing affordable housing in a safe neighborhood. We worked with a coalition of faith groups, Interfaith Builders.
Many thanks to our construction volunteers. Special thanks to the Holy Spirit lunch crew who provided a wonderful lunch for the volunteers and staff on Friday!
