If you or someone you know has been sexually abused, your first call should be to law enforcement.
If you or someone you know has been abused, exploited or harassed by a priest, deacon, Church employee, or volunteer, you are advised to contact Victim/Survivor Assistance at (651) 291-4475.
Additional information, including details on how to report suspected child abuse and resources for Victim Assistance, are available from the Archdiocese.
The Essential 3
All volunteers who interact with minors or vulnerable adults are required to complete and maintain safe environment credentials through the Archdiocese (on the Virtus website). These requirements are known as The Essential 3 and include a criminal background check, signing a Code of Conduct, and completing safe environment training. Re-credentialing is required every three years.
To ensure completion of the requirements before volunteering, or to confirm your status, contact our Safe Environment Coordinator, Ashley de los Reyes.
Time Commitment: Approximately 1 hour
Set aside enough time to complete all items. Incomplete accounts may result in lost data, requiring you to repeat your setup.
